What do you do at Gerber & Eckensweiler?
I greet our clients with a smile when they come in to the office, direct phone calls, draft letters, send and receive documents by email or mail, place cheques orders, drop off paperwork, and during tax season I'm here to help for the little things that need to be completed.
What is your professional background or experience?
I had my own cleaning business
What inspires you to do your best work?
Our client’s happiness is my inspiration!

Martin Gordon
Bookkeeper
What do you do at Gerber & Eckensweiler?
I bookkeep, provide payroll services, government filings, as well as other bookkeeping and accounting services. I am familiar with QuickBooks Desktop, QBO, Sage. I serve businesses in agriculture, manufacturing, contracting, transportation and other industries.
What is your professional background or experience?
I completed a Business Admin & Accounting Advanced Diploma program in 2021 and have been bookkeeping since then. I had years of experience working in the automotive industry in manufacturing processes and supervision before changing careers.
What inspires you to do your best work?
I enjoy building relationships and providing the best service possible for clients.

Kim Cox
Bookkeeper and Payroll
What do you do at Gerber & Eckensweiler?
I am involved with full-service bookkeeping for multiple clients including government filings. Additionally, I provide payroll services for clients including ROEs, T4s, payroll and WSIB registration. I also do specialty filings like Agricorp and assist with HST and payroll audits.
What is your professional background or experience?
I have a Diploma in Bookkeeping from Conestoga College and have worked in bookkeeping for over 13 years. Additionally I have served as the volunteer bookkeeper for the Volunteer Action Centre of Waterloo Region for 19 years.
What inspires you to do your best work?
I want to make sure our clients have a clear picture of their finances and provide support to make it easier for them to run their business.

What do you do at Gerber & Eckensweiler?
I advise on incorporation & corporate structuring, corporate lifecycle management, business sales & transfers as well as prepare financial report analyses to provide business solutions. Additionally I provide accurate and timely bookkeeping and frequent updates to clients.
What is your professional background or experience?
I have acquired years of bookkeeping experience at Gerber & Eckensweiler, learning and growing with the help of this wonderful team!

I like learning about obstacles or concerns our clients face across various industries, and helping to navigate them confidently.

Year End & Tax Manager
What do you do at Gerber & Eckensweiler?
I assist staff and clients when preparing company year ends. Additionally, I am involved with client reviews, CRA inquiries/ audits, T slip processing, specialty filings, preparation of personal and business taxes. I oversee payroll and cover when staff is off. I provide support to my team and others when people are away and prepare and deliver internal education sessions
What is your professional background or experience?
I've taken both tax and accounting courses at Conestoga College and various online classes. I've taken all the online QBO certification courses. I've been preparing and learning taxes since 2008.
I've worked in the public accounting world since 2011.
What inspires you to do your best work?
The people I work with are a great team and offer amazing support. The continued growth at the company is exciting. We also have terrific clients which makes it a great work environment as well.

What do you do at Gerber & Eckensweiler?
I provide bookkeeping insight to our team as they care for our clients’ needs. By leading education sessions, turning unique situations into learning opportunities, and demonstrating clear processes, I help ensure our bookkeepers deliver consistent, accurate, and efficient service.
What is your professional background or experience?
With over a decade of experience in accounting across multiple industries, more than five years in management, and a background in teaching, I bring both expertise and leadership to my role. I specialize in full-service bookkeeping and streamlining business processes to help organizations run more efficiently. My teaching background allows me to share knowledge in a clear, approachable way—supporting both our team and our clients in understanding and applying accounting best practices
What inspires you to do your best work?
Helping people focus on what they do best by taking the stress out of accounting is what drives me to deliver my best work. Teaching and training others to provide clean, accurate and reliable books is my second joy and drive!

What do you do at Gerber & Eckensweiler?
I focus on providing overall leadership and making sure the company stays aligned with its mission and long-term goals — which we’re constantly refining as we grow. I also spend a lot of time building and protecting our internal culture, making sure it’s a place where people want to work and grow. On top of that, I support the team with things like advisory and tax-related guidance when needed.
What is your professional background or experience?
I started my first bookkeeping company in 2006, and since then, I’ve had the opportunity to support hundreds of businesses across different industries. Over the years, I’ve also worked alongside great team members and many professional firms. That experience has shaped how I approach leadership and business growth.
What inspires you to do your best work?
I’m inspired by helping people and seeing them succeed — whether that’s our clients achieving their goals or our team members growing in their careers. Creating a safe and supportive workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work is a big motivator for me. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch team members develop their skills and confidence.

Lee Eckensweiler

What do you do at Gerber & Eckensweiler?
I work behind the scenes to make sure our team has everything they need to succeed. This includes handling client communications, invoicing, and feedback, as well as leading leadership meetings to align our values and culture with our mission. I also manage the company’s financials, guide strategic decisions, and continuously review processes, policies, and procedures to ensure that both our clients and employees feel valued and supported. In addition, I brainstorm, communicate, and help build new partnerships with other companies to expand the value we provide to our clients. I don’t take any credit for what Gerber & Eckensweiler is or what it will become—the team is the heart and soul of this company. My role often fades into the background, but as long as the team succeeds, that will always be the greatest reward.
What is your professional background or experience?
My career path has taken me through a wide range of industries and roles, from farm labour and roofing to landscaping, retail, bike repair, and personal training. In each position, I naturally stepped into leadership and training responsibilities, learning what makes a workplace thrive—and what holds it back. That perspective fueled my drive to pursue self-employment, where I could build businesses with healthier environments and greater impact. Over the years, I’ve operated companies in roofing, landscaping, waste removal, guitar instruction, and personal training, which ultimately led me to the bookkeeping industry and co-founding Gerber & Eckensweiler.
What inspires you to do your best work?
I’m inspired by watching people succeed. Seeing team members grow, challenge themselves, and go beyond what they thought possible is the greatest reward of leadership for me. I’m especially motivated by the idea that success is often built on overcoming obstacles, and I aim to create an environment where our team and clients can achieve exactly that.
